Bareilly, July 6: Police in Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh have claimed to have busted a sex racket. According to reports, the sex racket was busted after cops raided a rented house in Gandhipuram locality on the night of July 4. Eight people, including three women, were arrested  by the police following the raid. The accused would use WhatsApp to send photos of girls to their clients. Sex Racket Busted in Mathura, 5 Women Among 12 Held From Two Guest Houses in Goverdhan.

Police raided the house following a complaint from the house owner. In his complaint, the house owner alleged that his tenants were running a sex racket, leading to blot on his reputation in the society. "Acting on the information, we raided the house and arrested five men and three women with objectionable contents," Superintendent of Police Ravindra Kumar was quoted by TOI as saying. Online Sex Racket Busted in Noida, 2 Arrested.

Following the raid, the police seized eight mobile phones and cash. "During the questioning, we found the tenant, Atul Gupta, was running the sex racket with the help of his wife," the SP added. Both of them were arrested during the raid. The initial investigation revealed that the accused would sent photo of girls to their clients through WhatsApp and then a meeting would be fixed.

All accused people were ere booked under relevant sections of the Immoral Trafficking Act, 1956. They were produced before a local court on July 5 when a judge sent them to jail. Cops were conducting further investigation and looking for other people involved in the sex racket.
