Mumbai, September 3: The Mumbai police recently booked a minor boy for murder after a woman who eloped with him was found dead in the city. Police officials said that the 18-year-old woman was found dead at a dilapidated and vacant building at Hay Bunder in Sewri. The incident is said to have occurred on Monday, September 2. Acting on the deceased woman's mother's complaint, cops lodged a case of murder against the minor boy.

According to reports, the deceased woman had eloped with the 15-year-old boy, and the two were staying together at the vacant building in Sewri. The incident came to light on Monday when the young woman's body was found at around 8 AM. Minor Boy and Woman Stayed in Abandoned Building

The duo was staying on the fifth floor of the abandoned building together. Cops also said that the building had been unoccupied for some time. Cops suspect that the young woman may have fallen from the fifth floor or been pushed. However, no official confirmation has been made as yet. After the incident, the police informed the girl's family and the minor's boy’s parents.

Duo Eloped Multiple Times in the Past

An official also said that the deceased woman's mother suspected the minor boy to be responsible for her daughter's death. However, the boy told cops that he was sleeping when the incident occurred. When he woke up, the boy found the woman's body on the ground floor after searching for her. During the preliminary investigation, cops found that the duo were in a relationship and had eloped several times in the past. Meanwhile, the police are interrogating the minor boy to determine his role in the incident.
