Bhopal, March 19: The Jabalpur High Court on Tuesday quashed Madhya Pradesh government's order of increasing the percentage of reservation for Other Backward Class (OBC) community to 27 percent in NEET PG Counselling. Earlier this month, state governor Anandiben Patel approved an ordinance to increase reservation for the OBCs from 14 per cent to 27 per cent. Last week, Chief Minister Kamal Nath had announced that the state government had decided to raise the reservation limit for OBCs from 14 per cent to 27 per cent and also implement quota for the poor among the general category. There are 29 Lok Sabha seats in the state. In 2014, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had won 26 seats, while the Congress bagged the remaining seats. This time, voting for the general elections in Madhya Pradesh will be held in four phases, beginning from April 29. The results will be declared on May 23.
