The benchmark BSE Sensex rallied nearly 800 points and the National Stock Exchange (NSE) Nifty grew by over 200 points and reached their respective record highs in the early trade Thursday, reported news agency PTI. Sensex Numbers on Lok Sabha Elections 2019 Results Day Live News and Updates.
All the sectoral indices were in the positive zone at the National Stock Exchange. Those who gained in the opening trade include IndusInd Bank, Indiabulls Housing Finance, Zee Entertainment, State Bank of India and Larsen & Toubro.

On Monday too, the Sensex had touched historic highs following exit polls forecasting an overwhelming majority for Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the just-concluded general elections. Market experts are of the view that if the BJP led NDA comes to power, it can have an even bigger impact on the Sensex indices.
