Sirmaur, November 25: In another tragic incident, at least nine persons died after a private bus fell in a gorge near Dadahu in Himachal Pradesh’s Sirmaur district. Rescue and relief operations are underway. According to reports, the bus was travelling from Nahan from Renuka when it fell into a rivulet at Jalal Bridge. More than 30 people were injured in the accident. Around 40 passengers were reported to be on the bus when the tragic incident took place. The exact cause of the incident is yet to ascertain, but initial reports suggested that due to the high speed, bus broke the railing erected on the bridge and fell into the river. Authorities rushed to the spot after receiving the information and started the rescue operations. The injured have been rushed to Nahan Medical College.

It is the second mishap in the day. Earlier on Sunday, At least 21 people have been injured after a bus fell into a gorge. The incident took place at Kiari Nallah on Solan-Shimla border. All the injured passengers have been shifted to the hospital. According to reports, In the tragic incident, two people, including a bus driver, got seriously injured while the rest sustained minor injuries. The Bus was on its way to Delhi from Shimla's Junga when the incident took place. "All the passengers have been rescued, and the injured have been shifted to the hospital," Omapati Jamwal, SP, Shimla said.
