Bhubaneshwar, October 29: Renowned sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik paid tribute to the victims of the super cyclone 1999 on the 19th anniversary of the tragic incident. The sand artist, who is known for his topical sand sculptures highlighting the issues of the day, paid an emotional tribute and created a 'sand-marvel' to mark the tragic event. The 1999 Odisha cyclone was the strongest recorded tropical cyclone in the North Indian Ocean. Thousands of people were killed and scores of people were left homeless. The 290 kmph killer winds wreaked havoc on the state and lives were lost at a dangerous speed than can be imagined.
