Nilakkal, November 12: The Supreme Court on November 13 will hear nearly 42 petitions seeking a review of its Sabarimala verdict allowing women of all ages to enter the Sanctum Sanctorum. Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi has listed all review petitions for hearing at 3 pm on Tuesday. Earlier on October 9, the apex court had declined an urgent hearing of the plea which contended the verdict of Former CJI Deepak Misra stating that lifting the ban would be 'absolutely untenable and irrational'. Sabarimala Temple in Kerala Gets Digitised Crowd Management System.

The earlier verdict of top court on Sabarimala had triggered a massive protest by devotees, activist and Hindu organisations across Kerala. Through the court on September 28 allowed women of all ages to enter the shrine, so far no woman in their menstrual age have been able to enter the temple as devotees and activist have prevented them midway. Supreme Court to Consider Review Petitions on Women's Entry in Sabarimala Temple on November 13.

Nearly 14 women have so far attempted to enter the hill shrine but had to drop their attempts after the massive protest from devotees. Earlier a woman journalist Kavitha Jakkal and woman activist Rehana Fathima managed to reach just a few meters away from the Sabarimala gates, but they had to return as the head priest warned that he will stop all the rituals and close the doors.

The hill shrine of Lord Ayappa in Kerala’s Pathanamthitta district will open its gate from devotees on November 16, till December 27 for Mandala Pooja Mahotsavam.
