Hyderabad, August 30: The fearless act of a Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel saved the life of a man from being pulled under the moving train on Thursday, August 29, 2019. The incident took place at Hyderabad's Nampally Railway Station when Constable Vikul Kumar saved a 45-year-old businessman who had fallen between the gap of a platform and a moving train. The episode occurred when Charminar Express Train No 12759 was entering platform no five. Hyderabad RPF inspector Janardhan Reddy told reporters that businessman Venkat Reddy lost his balance and hanged in a small gap between the train and the platform.

“With Kumar's timely action one life was saved. Venkat Reddy did not suffer injuries," Janardhan Reddy said. For his brave act, RPF Constable Vikul Kumar received appreciation by RPF IG Eshwar and Commissioner Ramakrishna for his alertness.
