Nashik, September 17: In an act of bravery, a Railway Protection Force (RPF) constable on Monday saved a passenger from getting under a running train at Manmad railway station in Maharashtra. According to a tweet by Central Railway, the incident took place at platform 3 of Manmad station where a passenger fell down between platform and moving train while boarding running train no 15018 Kashi Express. The tweet further informed that RPF constable Manish Kumar Singh, who was patrolling saw a person entangled in-between the platform and the running train. Upon seeing this, Singh quickly acted and pulled him away from the moving train and saved his life. In August, a similar incident was reported from Hyderabad where a RPF constable saved the life of a middle-aged passenger. Reports inform that the passenger had lost the balance and had fallen between the gap of the platform and moving train while getting down at Nampally railway station. The constable, who was present at the platform, immediately lifted the man by pulling him out of the platform gap.

Earlier this week, a Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel saved the life of a child from a moving train at KR Puram railway station in Karnataka's Bengaluru. He sustained injuries while helping the toddler.
