New Delhi, April 16: Rohit Shekhar Tiwari, son of late former Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand Chief Minister Narayan Datt Tiwari, was brought dead to Max Saket hospital in Delhi on Tuesday. The cause of death is not yet clear. But according to some media reports, Tiwari suffered a cardiac arrest. Life and Times of the Veteran Congress Leader, The Only Man to Have Led 2 States as CM.
DCP South Delhi Vijay Kumar issued a statement and confirmed the death. He said, "Rohit Shekhar Tiwari, son of late former Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand CM N D Tiwari, has been brought dead to Max Saket hospital."

In 2014, ND Tiwari, who was dragged to court by Rohit who claimed to be his biological son, finally accepted him as his son, putting an end to a lengthy legal battle on the issue.
Rohit Shekhar had approached the court against former Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand CM in 2008, claiming he was born out of an affair between the INC leader and his mother. In 2012, Tiwari was compelled to give samples of DNA for a paternity test which established Tiwari as Rohit's biological father.
