New Delhi, March 10: Businessman Robert Vadra, who had earlier also hinted about his foray into active politics, on Sunday said he would like to serve people on a big platform only after his name is cleared in the money laundering case. Vadra, husband of Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, also highlighted the hard work and effort he had devoted campaigning for Mother-in-Law Soniya Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi in Uttar Pradesh.

Using Facebook as a platform, Vadra shared pictures of posters from Ghaziabad, Moradabad and various cities urging him to contest the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections. Ahead of 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, Posters Urging Robert Vadra to Contest Polls From Ghaziabad Surfaces.

The industrialist also highlighted the hard work he devoted in remote areas in Uttar Pradesh. "I do remember the hard works n efforts I had devoted in remote areas of UP n in different parts of the country, in the years when I was campaigning for my Mother in law, and for Rahul. I was fortunate to see the simplicity of life lived in those villages, and their respect and love that I earned in the weeks that I spent travelling for kilometres apart n I tried to get their messages of help to resolve their issues. Seeing the developments in the years n their happiness was rewarding," he said. International Women's Day 2019: Robert Vadra Shares a Beautiful Post on 'Four Strong Women' in His Life.

In the end, Vadra repeated what he is saying for the weeks: "I surely have been serving n helping people in need for years, and would like to serve people on a bigger platform, but only once all false accusations & allegations levied on me are clear. My belief is truth will prevail n hence I will be part n help for the better change, and development required for our country," he said.

In a similar post, on February 24, Vadra had said he is open to a "larger role in serving the people". Following this, there are speculations that the 50-year-old would be following his wife's footsteps and join politics. In January, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra was appointed as Congress general secretary for the eastern Uttar Pradesh.
