New Delhi, June 3: Robert Vadra, brother-in-law of Congress President Rahul Gandhi, has been allowed by a special CBI Court to travel abroad for six weeks for medical treatment. According to a tweet by ANI, Vadra has been allowed to visit the USA and Netherlands but he can't travel to London. Reports inform that Vadra withdrew his travel request to London. The Court has said in case any look out circular is issued, it will remain suspended during this period. Robert Vadra Says He Has Tumour In Intestine, Seeks Permission to Fly Abroad.

In May, Vadra had submitted a medical certificate in a Delhi court seeking permission to travel abroad for medical treatment. He said he has a tumour in his intestine and needs to travel to the UK and two other countries for diagnosis and further treatment.

On May 31, Vadra did not appear for questioning before the Enforcement Directorate in connection with a money laundering case involving abroad assets. According to reports, Vadra, who was questioned by the financial probe agency on May 30 for over seven hours, was supposed to depose before the agency officials but he sent his advocates in his stead.

Vadra is facing allegations of money laundering in the purchase of a property in London at 12, Bryanston Square. The property is worth 1.9 million pounds.
