Ranchi, July 17: A Ranchi Court on Wednesday modified its earlier order by dropping additional condition of distribution of copies of Holy Quran by a student, Richa Bharti. The court had earlier passed judgment to distribute the Holy Quran as a condition for bail. Bharati was arrested for posting an allegedly communal post on Facebook.
On July 16, the court granted bail to Bharti that she should distribute five copies of the Holy Quran. The accused had expressed unhappiness over the court’s direction. She also said that she would not distribute copies of Muslim’s religious text. The court's judgment was criticised by Twitter users with #RichaBharti trending on the micro-blogging site.
