The body has been now actively involved in running the Logout campaign as a mark of protest against food aggregators like Zomato, Swiggy, Dineout and others, who are offering huge discounts, which are eating into the restaurant's profits. The movement has led to over 2600 restaurants logging out of apps and not honouring discounts.

Last week Zomato suspended their programme-Infinity Dining amid the battle with restaurants across the country. The programme was launched just over two months ago in three cities with 300-plus restaurants. The Infinity Dining programme allowed Zomato Gold users to order unlimited food and drinks for a set price from the menu of partner restaurants for a limited period of time.  Zomato even went to the extent of modifying the hugely popular Gold programme, however, it failed to impress the restaurants.

NRAI in an earlier statement said that the restaurants would not come back until the “deep-discounting phenomenon” is off the table.
