Rampur, Sep 18: Locals of a village in Uttar Pradesh blackened the face of a man and made him parade on a buffalo in connection with a rape case in Rampur. According to a tweet by ANI, to shame the rape accused, even more, the villagers put a garland of shoes around his neck for allegedly raping an 8-year-old boy. According to reports by Police, the video of the incident is being verified and an investigation into the matter is underway.
Earlier this month, a similar sexual assault against women was reported from Sahibabad in Uttar Pradesh. According to reports, a 16-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her neighbour.
The gruesome incident came to light when the family of the victim approached the police. An FIR against the accused has been lodged under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections for rape, criminal conspiracy.
In another rape incident, a woman in Uttar Pradesh was given a talaq after she mistakenly increased the volume of the music system, which angered her husband. The victim alleged that the woman was gang-raped after her husband gave her triple talaq.
