New Delhi, August 25: The North Delhi Municipal Corporation has proposed the renaming of the iconic Ramlila Maidan after late former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. According to reports, at least 6-7 members of the local body in Delhi have submitted the proposal and a discussion on the same will take place in Delhi Assembly on August 30.
Reports say that Aadesh Gupta, the Mayor of the municipal body is hopeful that the renaming will be done before Vajpayee's birth anniversary on December 25.
