Lucknow, November 29: The Param Dharam Sansad, which started on Sunday and ended on Wednesday in Ayodhya, issued a "dharmadesh"- a religious diktat to the government and demanded that the Ram Mandir be built in Ayodhya on a priority basis. The sansad also discussed about the condition of holy river Ganga and cows in the country. The dharam sansad (religious parliament/gathering) asked the government to consider amending the Constitution so that the Supreme Court takes up the issue of Ram Mandir on a priority basis and demanded that the top court consider the issue as a matter of "national importance" and public interest. The "dharmadesh" issued by the Shankaracharya asked the government to "amend the Constitution" and demanded that a new section be included in the Constitution similar to Sections 133, 136 and 226(3). The dharam sansad said this will ensure that the Ram Mandir and Ram Janmabhoomi is treated as an issue of national importance and public interest, reported the The Times of India.
Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray had also visited Ayodhya on November 25, 26 and attended the event to meet the saints and seers. He performed and took part in the ‘Saryu Aarti’ and offered prayers at the makeshift Ram temple during his two-day visit to Ayodhya.
