New Delhi, August 24: On the joyous occasion of Raksha Bandhan, women police officers in Gurugram have decided to tie a rakhi on the wrist of people who violate traffic rules. According to a report by Hindustan Times, all women police officers and female RSOs (Road Safety Officers) in the city will participate in the amicable initiative and will spread awareness on road safety and traffic rules this Raksha Bandhan, which will be celebrated on Sunday.
Reports suggest that apart from tying a rakhi, the women police officers will also ask traffic violators to take a pledge to follow traffic rules in all circumstances. The Gurugram Police had last year conducted a successful campaign on road safety. Even this year, the Gurugram Police and Road Safety Organisation, which is a non-profit organisation, continues to take the great initiative a step forward in a bid to make roads safer.
