Ahmedabad, September 15: A ten-year-old girl from Gujarat caused a stir in Rajkot city as she, accompanied by her father, approached the Pradhyuman Nagar police station on Friday morning. She reported that she had been kidnapped in an SUV while on her way to tuition, putting the cops on their toes to nab the perpetrators.
The Times of India reported that following an extensive search operation that involved road closures and the deployment of the entire city police force, along with senior IPS officers, it was discovered that the girl had made up the kidnapping story as a means to avoid attending her tuition class due to incomplete homework. Teen Girl Fakes Own Kidnapping
The girl informed the police that while she was on her way to tuition from her residence in the Popatpara area, an SUV approached her, and she was forced into the vehicle by the kidnappers. As the car went ahead, they abducted another girl along the route. However, this second girl was subsequently released beneath a railway bridge, and the abductors proceeded towards the railway station.
Following this, the Pradhyuman Nagar police promptly notified the city's control room, issuing alerts to all police stations and patrolling police vans. The police arrived at the scene of the incident and surfed all available CCTV footage to ascertain the exact sequence of events. After this, in the presence of her parents and female officers, the police engaged in a conversation with the girl, employing various tactics, leading her to confess to the fabricated story ultimately.
