India TV's legal head, on behalf of journalist Rajat Sharma, has warned of a legal action after Congress spokesperson Dr Ragini Nayak accused him of using abusive language against her on live broadcast. In a long post on X, India TV's legal head, Ritika Talwar, dismissed the allegations against Rajat Sharma as "absolutely false". "We reiterate that Mr. Sharma has never used abusive language in private or public life. Inference drawn by you from the non-existent and imaginary are per se defamatory. We reserve the right to take further legal action," read a post on X by India TV on Tuesday, June 11. Congress leaders Ragini Nayak, Pawan Khera and Jairam Ramesh were tagged in the post.
