In Rajasthan's Jhalawar district, a 20-year-old woman was allegedly killed and cremated by her family over a year after she married against their wishes. Police Deputy Superintendent Jai Prakash Atal stated that the woman's husband, Ravindra Bhil, reported her kidnapping while she was withdrawing cash at an ATM, which led to an investigation. It was subsequently discovered, through CCTV footage and further inquiry, that the woman was murdered and cremated by her family members. The incident involved four to five individuals, and police are investigating the motive behind the murder. Bhil had married Shimla Kushwaha against her family's consent a year ago and had moved to Madhya Pradesh. He reported that his wife had asked for police intervention before she was forcibly taken away and killed.
