Jailsamer, July 14: A shocking incident has come to light from Rajasthan where a man from Mumbai allegedly tried to rape his live-in partner's 15-year-old daughter. The alleged incident occurred on June 14 in Rajasthan's Jaisalmer but came to light recently. Police officials said that the accused also assaulted the minor girl after she resister his rape attempt.
According to a report in the Times of India, the incident came to light recently after the minor girl was taken for medical treatment. Following this, the police were informed about the incident. On Friday, July 12, the police registered a case under the POCSO and Juvenile Justice Act. They have also detained a few people in connection with the incident. Accused Pours Hot Oil on Victim's Private Parts
Cops said that the accused tied the minor girl to a cot and allegedly assaulted her. They also stated that the accused poured hot oil on the girl’s private parts, which caused burn injuries. The victim had informed her mother about the incident; however, she tried to hide the matter and told her daughter against revealing the incident.
CWC Informs Police About Rape Attempt and Assault
The assault and rape incident came to light when the minor girl narrated her ordeal during counselling after the incident was brought to the attention of the Child Welfare Committee (CWC). Following this, Mukesh Vyas, President of CWC, wrote a letter and requested the police to register a case in connection with the incident. At present, the victim is under CWC care. Mahendra Singh Rajvi, Additional SP, said that the minor girl is a resident of Mumbai. He also said that the victim was living with her mother in Jaisalmer after her father died in 2016.
