Rajasthan Congress President Sachin Pilot on Monday filed his nomination for the upcoming assembly elections in Rajasthan.
Tonk, November 19: Rajasthan Congress President Sachin Pilot on Monday filed his nomination for the upcoming assembly elections in the state. Congress president filed his nomination from the Tonk constituency on November 19. The last date of filing nominations for the state elections was till 3 pm today. The voting for the state polls is scheduled on December 7 and results will be declared on December 11. Yoonus Khan to Contest Against Sachin Pilot in Tonk, Mehta Dropped.

Earlier Bharatiya Janata Party replaced sitting MLA Ajit Singh Mehta of Tonk constituency, who figured in the first list issued on November 11, with state Transport Minister Yoonus Khan as Tonk is a Muslim-dominated city. BJP did this brainstorming after congress fielded Pilot in Tonk. Both the leaders have filed their nomination papers as it was the last day of filing submissions.
