Ajmer, September 24: Another incident of a school bus getting stuck in a flooded underpass has been reported in Rajasthan. A school bus carrying 20 children got stuck in a waterlogged underpass in Ajmer after heavy rainfall in the region. The children on board the bus were rescued with help of a JCB machine. This is the third such incident to have been reported in the past one month in the state.
Earlier this month, at least 70 children were rescued by locals from a school bus stranded in a flooded underpass in Rajasthan's Sikar. The driver tried to drive the bus through the flooded underpass, following which the bus got stuck under the bridge. Locals in the area got help and rescued the children with the help of a ladder.

A similar incident was reported in Rajasthan last month when a school bus carrying students got stuck on a flooded underpass in Lalsot Subdivision in Dausa. The students climbed on top of the bus to save themselves.
Rains have wreaked havoc in several parts of North India including Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Delhi, Punjab and Haryana over the past three days. There have been reports of flash floods and cloudburst in Manali.
