The strike is India's answer to the dastardly terror attack on the CRPF jawans vehicle part of a convoy in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir.
On February 14, a local suicide bomber in Pulwama, named Adil Ahmed Dar had rammed his explosives ridden SUV into a vehicle part of the CRPF convoy. Over 40 CRPF jawans were martyred and a dozen seriously injured in the attack. Pakistan based terrorist organisation and Masood Azhar led JeM claimed responsibility for the dastardly attack.
