Hyderabad, November 30: Cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu on Friday said Congress president Rahul Gandhi sent him to neighbouring country-Pakistan to attend the groundbreaking ceremony of the Kartarpur Corridor project. Sidhu, made this statement while addressing media, taking a jibe at Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh told, "Rahul is my captain. Replying to a query, Sidhu further added "Which captain are you talking about? Amarinder Singh is an army captain." Sidhu said that about 50-100 Congress leaders patted him on his back after returning from Pakistan. Sidhu has been hitting the headlines for his visit to Pakistan. On Thursday, a controversy emerged after his photo with Gopal Singh Chawla, a pro-Khalistani leader, went viral, however, Sidhu denied knowing him. Chawla had also posted his picture with Sidhu on Social Media. At the Ceremony, Chawla was also seen meeting Pakistan Army chief general Qamar Javed Bajwa.
