Rahul Gandhi Met Nirav Modi in 2013, I Am A Witness, Says Shehzad Poonawalla
Poonawalla challenged the Congress President and said that Rahul had met Nirav Modi and his uncle Mehul Choksi at a hotel in September 2013.
New Delhi, Sep 13: Shehzad Poonawalla, an office-bearer in Maharastra Congress who is also known as a Gandhi family relative in political circle, on Thursday made shocking revelations and said he was a witness to Rahul Gandhi and Nirav Modi's meeting in 2013. Poonawalla challenged the Congress President and said he can swear on Quran and undertake lie detector test for the same, adding that Gandhi had met Nirav and his uncle Mehul Choksi at a hotel in September 2013 at a cocktail party and a bridal wear prog at Imperial Hotel Delhi. "Open challenge to Rahul Gandhi to deny he met Nirav Modi in Sep 2013 cocktail party -11th Sep if my memory serves me right! Imperial Hotel- Rahul spent a long time! Same period when loans given to Mehul Choksi & Nirav Modi", Poonawalla tweeted.
"I can vouch Rahul Gandhi was at Nirav Modi's cocktail party in Sep 2013 at Imperial Hotel Delhi! While cocktails were had loans were cleared for Mama Bhanja despite red flag by likes of Dinesh Dubey Ex Dir of Allahabad Bank! Will Rahul Gandhi clarify on Maal-liya Mallya or not!", Poonawalla mentioned on Twitter.
"Mr Rahul Gandhi, I challenge you. I am witness to you meeting Nirav Modi in Sept 2013 at a Hotel and during this time Nirav Modi and his uncle (Mehul Choksi) got loans from banks", Poonawalla was quoted by ANI.
Taking a jibe at Gandhi, Poonawalla tweeted saying there is a reason why Rahul Gandhi has formed a MahaGathBandhan with Vijay Mallya and relies on such fugitives' statements ever since the Narendra Modi government brought in the Fugitive Economic Offender's Law, "Bhagodas and potential bhagodas are feeling anxious!", he added.
Shehzad has dropped the use of his surname and adopted the last name "Jai Hind." He has been a strong critic of dynasty politics and has vowed to make a "Dynasty Mukt Congress". It must be noted that Shehzad formerly served with the ministry of parliamentary affairs and is believed to be ‘a lawyer, civil rights activist and a Congress party supporter.’ On Twitter, he describes himself as a "Congress (Dynasty Mukt INC Abhiyan), Civil Rights activist- My religion ~Islam,culture~Hindu, ideology~ Indian! Creator of Positive India".
