Wayanad, August 28: Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi, who is currently on his visit to his constituency Wayanad in Kerala, was kissed by a man during his visit there. In a 0.22 second video released by ANI, a man is seen forcefully kissing the Congress leader, while he sat on the front seat of his car. The man, who kissed Gandhi, is then pulled back by the crowd. According to a report by IANS, a senior Congress source informed that during his visit to his parliamentary constituency, Rahul will review various measures in areas affected by torrential rains, floods, and landslides. He is also likely to inaugurate two offices in his constituency during his visit and will also participate in political programmes.

Earlier this month, the Congress leader had been on a four-day visit to Wayanad from August 11 to 14. During his visit, he had raised the issue of Kerala floods with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and sought his help.

On Tuesday, Gandhi wrote a letter to Union Ministers Narendra Singh Tomar, Harsh Vardhan and Nitin Gadkari seeking help for flood rehabilitation work in the southern state. In his letter, Gandhi also asked for expansion of the scope of works under the MGNREGA in Kerala and hike in minimum guaranteed days of employment from 100 to 200 days.
