Mumbai, January 30: Famous Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan  has been charged for Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) violation on Tuesday. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has issued a show cause notice to the Pakistani singer for smuggling foreign currency out of India. The ED has also questioned Khan in this case. If the Pakistani singer is found guilty, he could be fined 300 percent of the amount smuggled by him. In 2011, the singer was caught with $1,15,000 at Delhi International Airport. He did not possess any document in support of his claim over the money. Khan is a popular name in India. He has lent his voice to many Bollywood movie songs. He debuted as a playback singer in Bollywood with the movie Paap in 2003. The renowned singer is the nephew of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, son of Farrukh Fateh Ali Khan and the grandson of Qawwali singer Fateh Ali Khan.
