Rafale Jet's France Unit for IAF Breached, Defence Ministry Sends Personnel for Probe

The latest development is arriving from France that there has been an attempted break-in the Indian Air Force Rafale Project Management Team in a suburb of the European country.

New Delhi, May 22: A day after Reliance Defence chairman Anil Ambani announced to withdraw the Rs 5,000 cr defamation suit against National Herald and several other newspapers, the latest development is arriving from France that there has been an attempted break in the Indian Air Force Rafale Project Management Team in a suburb of the European country.

Sources stated that an Indian team - headed a Group Captain rank officer - would oversee the 36 Rafale aircraft production and training of Indian personnel there and have reached the spot. The latest attempted breach comes amid the announcement of Anil Ambani who on Tuesday announced to take back the defamation suit against Rahul Gandhi, Congress leader, National Herald and several other newspapers. The case was filed in Ahmedabad court by Ambani in the defamation case in the controversial Rafale case.

Earlier, Ambani - through his lawyers - had filed a defamation suit against Congress leaders, National Herald, and some of the journalist who had implicated his name in the Rafale deal. The lawyer for the complainant had informed that proceeding would take place in the case after the summer vacation gets over.
