New Delhi, July 21: Fresh guidelines were issued on Tuesday for passengers arriving at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport. All international arrivals will have to undergo seven days of institutional quarantine for seven days at their own cost, followed by another seven days of home isolation. "Transit passengers having further flights can go via Domestic flight transfer area or move up to departures check-in level, while re-entering they'll have to go through mandatory temperature check at departures entry gate," the guidelines stated.
Amid transit pax, symptomatic ones will be isolated and sent to containment zone next to terminal building escorted by respective airline officials. They'll be sent to hospitals or medical centres for COVID-19 checks or treatment.

"Those arriving by international flight at the airport, in case you're planning to stay on in Delhi-NCR, you'll have to undergo mandatory health screening which includes a primary screening by Airport Health Officials," the guidelines further added.
Furthermore, the passengers arriving through international routes would also need to undergo a secondary screening at Delhi government post after which they will be allowed to proceed to the approved quarantine location.
