Kochi, July 13: A Qatar Airways Doha-Kochi flight landed off-centred on the runway at Kochi airport on Thursday afternoon. According to a tweet by news agency ANI, the incident took place at around 2.19 pm. A total of 306 passengers were on board when the aircraft landed off-centred at the Kochi airport.
According to details available, the place made the landing due to the adverse weather build-up immediately prior to touch down. There were no casualties reported and no flights were diverted due to the incident.

Earlier this week amid heavy rainfall, an Air India Express flight IX 213 overshot the runway at Mumbai airport. The flight was en route Mumbai from Vijayawada. Reports informed that the Boeing 737 aircraft landed but could not come to a halt within the runway. All the passengers were safe.
As the primary runway was shut down for maintenance, the flight landed secondary runway 14. KS. Sunder CEO Air India Express had confirmed the incident and said Air India Express Engineering team was inspecting the aircraft at Mumbai airport.
