Chandigarh, July 19: Six persons have been arrested for allegedly beating up a 65-year-old woman and her 40-year-old domestic help in Punjab's Bathinda on July 16. According to reports, the accused beat them up, stripped them and tied them to a cot. The accused reportedly also shot a nude video of the woman and the domestic help and posted it on social media. The six have now been booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code as well as the Information Technology Act.
"Six people are been arrested and a case has been registered under relevant sections of the IPC," Bathinda SSP Nanak Singh said. The six accused have been identified as Jugraj Singh, Lovedeep Singh, Nirmal Singh, Jaspal Singh, Randhir Singh and Jagpal Singh.

The woman was living in the village with her disabled husband and a domestic help. She is undergoing treatment at a hospital. The woman had reportedly stated in her complaint that the accused were her grandsons who wanted the house she was living in vacated. She stated that the six made wrong allegations against her and assaulted her as well as the domestic help.
This is yet another shocking case coming from Bathinda in the past one week. Earlier this week, a woman was booked for tying up a policeman to a tree and beating him up, accusing him of being drunk and sexually assaulting her.
