Ludhiana, September 21: In Ludhiana's Jagraon area, five juveniles have been arrested for allegedly sodomising two of their acquaintances on Tuesday night, September 19. The accused, all residents of Jagraon, have been detained and charged with sodomy. According to multiple sources, the father of one of the victims, aged 13, narrated the harrowing incident. As per his knowledge, his son and a 14-year-old friend had left home around 5 pm to get a scooter repaired.
They returned at 9 pm and revealed that five individuals on two motorcycles had coerced them onto Kothe Khanjura road, where they were forcibly subjected to sodomy. The accused also recorded the act on a mobile phone. The victim's ordeal continued as one of them attempted to flee but was apprehended by the perpetrators, who tied his hands with electric wire and issued threats to ensure their silence. The accused warned that if the victims reported the incident to anyone, they would make the video of the act go viral on social media. Eventually, the victims informed their parents about the encounter, who immediately informed the police. Upon receiving the report, the Jagraon City police initiated an investigation into the matter. The accused have been booked under sections 377 (unnatural sex), 506 (criminal intimidation), and relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act. To protect the privacy of the victims, their identities have not been disclosed, following Supreme Court directives related to sexual assault cases. Upon receiving the report, the Jagraon City police initiated an investigation into the matter. The accused have been booked under sections 377 (unnatural offence), 506 (criminal intimidation), and relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
