Barnala, December 04: A massive fire broke out in Barnala district of Punjab in a foam factory. The incident took place at around 9:30 am. Around six fire tenders rushed to the spot. The exact cause of the incident is still unknown. However, some reports claim that a short circuit could be the main cause of the fire. According to other reports, the blaze broke out due to an explosion of an LPG cylinder. Around 40 labourers work in the factory. Some labourers are reported to be trapped inside the factory. The police have started an investigation into the incident. Authorities have made arrangement in hospitals for giving immediate medical treatment for injured in the fire. The factory was established around eight months before. No casualties have been reported yet.

Meanwhile, in a similar incident on Monday, a massive fire has broken out near the forest area opposite Gokuldham society near Goregaon. The fire started at about 6.30 in the evening outside the SGNP area, said the report. The property where the fire has broken out is also known as Rahega property.
