Mumbai, September 27: After nearly a three-hour long operation, doctors in Punjab successfully removed earphones, screws, and lockets and many other shocking items from a man's stomach. The man from Moga, reported to be mentally ill, had swallowed these items and started having stomach pains. Following prolonged stomach ache, the 40-year-old man was taken to a hospital, where the doctors performed the operation and saved his life.

During a three-hour operation, doctors successfully removed various items from the man’s stomach. The list of items extracted includes earphones, lockets, screws, rakhis, safety pins, shirt buttons, and zips. Visuals from the operation displaying the retrieved items have been circulating online. The director of Moga Medicity Hospital revealed that the patient had been experiencing stomach pain for two years. After developing symptoms such as fever and vomiting, the patient was admitted to the hospital on Monday. To diagnose the issue, an X-ray was conducted, which astounded the medical professionals. The X-ray revealed various objects inside the patient’s stomach, including screws, nuts and bolts, earphones, and magnets. According to news reports, the man who swallowed the various items was suffering from mental illness and was disturbed. The first case of its kind was reported at Moga Medicity Hospital. However, the doctors were able to successfully treat the man and rescue him from the unforeseen situation. In another incident, doctors removed 63 coins from a man's stomach in a two-day-long operation with the help of an 'endoscopic procedure'. According to the doctors, the man had swallowed these coins in a state of depression. The operation was carried out by the doctors of MDM Hospital, Jodhpur. The man was brought to the hospital after the complaint of a severe stomach on July 27.
