Pune: Two Indian Army Soldiers Die During Bridging Exercise at College of Military Engineering

Two soldiers of the Indian Army lost their lives during a bridging exercise on Thursday. Five personnel were also injured in the incident.

Pune, December 26: Two soldiers of the Indian Army lost their lives during a bridging exercise on Thursday. Five personnel were also injured in the incident. The bridging exercise was going on at the College of Military Engineering in Pune. According to a report, two soldiers died when a unit was training on a mobile bridge which is used to scale obstacles in difficult terrains. Seven soldiers were wounded during the training exercise and two of them succumbed to injuries. Further details on the nature of the mishap were being ascertained.

The College of Military Engineering or CME is a premier institute of the Corps of Engineers of the Indian Army. Officers and jawans of the Army, services, other defence bodies and friendly foreign countries are trained in engineering and technical subjects at the CME.
