Pune, April 29: In a shocking incident in Maharashtra's Pune, an 18-year-old boy allegedly torched a man's bike after being scolded for stalking his daughter. The teenager reportedly set the girl's father's motorcycle on fire in the early hours of Saturday, April 27, in Bavdhan. After the incident, the police arrested the teen. Cops said that the teenager has a criminal record.
According to a report in the Times of India, the incident came to light after the victim lodged a complaint with the Hinjewadi police. In addition to the victim's bike, three other motorcycles were damaged in the blaze. Acting on the complaint, the police launched a probe and nabbed the accused and his accomplices. Accused Stalked Complainant's Minor Daughter
Assistant inspector Ram Gomare said that the teenager had been stalking a minor girl for the last few days. Gomare further said that when the complainant learned about this, he reprimanded the teenager. This angered the accused, who arrived at the complainant's residence with his two accomplices and set the bike on fire.
Two Bikes Completely Damaged in Blaze
The blaze engulfed three other motorcycles that were parked alongside it. The assistant inspector said two bikes were completely damaged in the blaze, while two others were partially destroyed. Acting on the girl's father's complaint, the police launched a probe and scanned CCTV footage of the area. Acting on a tip-off, the police arrested the accused and his two accomplices. The accused were arrested under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
