Pune, August 5: As heavy downpour lashed the city from the last couple of days, paralysing the movement and creating traffic snarls, Met department on Monday predicted that rains are most likely to hit back again on Tuesday and Wednesday. People have been advised to be on alert and not to venture without cause in the city. Schools to remain closed on Tuesday.
India Meteorological Department, through Twitter, it was predicted that extremely heavy falls are also likely over south Konkan today, ghats area of Madhya Maharashtra on August 5, 6 and 8. The Met department even predicted that the intensity of rains is most likely to rise in the next 4-5 days. Earlier, reports arrived that buildings on Bhau Patil Road are submerged and the visibility is poor in Lonavala. Even heavy traffic is witnessed is at Kasawadi and Dehu Road. All the educational institutes have been kept closed even on Tuesday citing heavy rains and district authorities are taking the precautionary measure.

Among other reports, service road below Hinjewadi flyover is flooded and Wakad Chowk-Vishal Nagar road is blocked. Traffic on various route hae been diverted and Central Railways have cancelled several trains.
