Pune, February 25: More than hundreds of people, mostly specially-abled and deaf students, were injured on Monday during the protest for employment and setting up of government school and colleges for specially-abled people. According to ANI, the police personnel carried out lathicharge on students outside the Social Welfare Office in Maharashtra's Pune. Pune Police Chases Car in Suspicion of Theft, Only to Find Real Owner Behind Wheels, Blames it on CCTVs.

According to Lokmat, the angry people were protesting against the government for ignoring their demands. The students also warned that if their demands are not met they will boycott the voting in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Police officials said that they tried to explain the angry mob. But when the protestors blocked the roads and made the atmosphere tenser, the police officials were forced to lathicharge.
