Pune, November 28: A massive fire broke out in a slum in Maharashtra's Pune on Wednesday. According to a tweet by ANI, the fire incident was reported from Patil Estate Lane no 3, near Shivajinagar in Pune. Reports inform that a total of thirty fire tenders were rushed to the spot. No injuries or casualties have been reported so far. More details awaited.
According to a preliminary investigation by Police, the blaze is believed to have erupted due to a short circuit in the area. A similar incident was reported from Pune earlier this month, where a factory near Bhavani Peth in Pune was engulfed in fire. Nearly nine fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the blaze. Earlier in October, at least two people were killed after a fire broke out in a slum area in Pune. Reports inform that the blaze erupted after a gas cylinder exploded in a shanty located at Dalvinagar in Pimpri Chinchwad area on the city’s outskirts.
