Pulwama Terror Attack: Muzaffarpur Man Arrested For Objectionable WhatsApp Message on Deadly Strike

Patna, February 16: A man from Bihar's Muzaffarpur was arrested on Saturday for posing an objectionable message on a WhatsApp group on Pulwama terror attack. It was not clear on what charges the man was arrested. According to some reports, the accused sent an objectional message on Pulwama terror attack on the WhatsApp group, which was brought into the notice of the police. Subsequently, the man was arrested.
On Friday, two Kashmiri employees of different pharmaceutical firms were suspended and served show-cause notices for posting insensitive and "anti-national" messages on social media over deaths of CRPF jawans in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama. The employees reportedly put up posts praising Pakistan-based terrorist organisation Jaish-e-Mohammad which claimed the responsibility of the Pulwama attack.
In a similar incident on Friday, one of the leading news channels, NDTV, condemned a post put up by one of its digital deputy news editor on the Pulwama terror attack and suspended her for two weeks. The company also said that it is weighing further action against the employee.
40 CRPF personnel were killed when their convoy was targeted on the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway on Thursday. The convoy comprised 78 buses in which around 2500 personnel were travelling from Jammu to Srinagar. Soon after, Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), which is based in Pakistan and backed by the Pakistani administration, claimed responsibility for the attack.
