Amritsar, February 18: Following the uproar in Punjab Assembly, where, the opposition MLAs called for an 'Anti-Sidhu resolution' seeking dismissal of Navjot Singh Sidhu for his insensitive remark on Pulwama terrorist attack. Navjot Singh Sidhu Hits Back at Critics:

The Congress leader said, "I am firm on my stand. Terrorism shouldn't be tolerated. I want to ask who released those involved in 1999 Kandahar incident? Who's responsibility is it? There was a huge uproar in the Punjab assembly, Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD)-Bharatiya Janata Party legislators demanded the sacking of Sidhu from the Indian National Congress for his "insensitive" comment on Pulwama attack. Apparently, there are reports that 55-year-old leader has been asked to leave a comedy show, The Kapil Sharma Show.

Giving his first comments on the attack that killed 40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel, the cricketer-turned-politician said, "terrorists do not have deen, mazhab (sect and religion)”, adding that a one couldn’t blame an entire nation for such attacks. Sidhu also called for a dialogue to find a permanent solution to end the bloodshed.
