Pulwama Encounter: ‘Pakistan Has Killed Our Sons, India Has the Power to Destroy It in One Day’, Says Bereaved Mother of Sepoy Ajay Kumar
Anguished by the attack by Pakistan, the mother of the 27-year-old martyr said Pakistan isn't that big and that India had the power to destroy it in one day.
Meerut, February 19: Mother of Sepoy Ajay Kumar, who lost his life in an encounter with terrorists in Pulwama on Monday, said that she is proud of her son that he sacrificed his life for the country. Anguished by the attack by Pakistan, the mother of the 27-year-old martyr said Pakistan isn't that big and that India had the power to destroy it in one day. "Pakistan has killed so many sons; Pakistan isn’t that big that India can’t destroy it". India can destroy it in one day", she said. Meanwhile, people gathered in large numbers outside the residence of Sepoy Hari Singh in Haryana to pay last respects to the braveheart. Singh was another jawan who was martyred in the encounter. His mortal remains will be brought to his home in Rewari. On Monday, four jawans, including a Major rank officer, were attained martyrdom in an encounter with Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorists in Pinglena in Kashmir's Pulwama district. Meanwhile, mortal remains of Havaldar Sheo Ram were brought to his home in Jhunjhunu in Rajasthan.

Major Vibhuti Dhoundiyal was among four army men killed in an encounter while Sepoy Hari Singh, Sepoy Ajay Kumar and Havaldar Sheo Ram were the others who attained martyrdom. While Sepoy Hari Singh and Sepoy Ajay Kumar were both 27, Havaldar Sheo Ram was 37-year-old. Sepoy Hari Singh, from Rajgarh in the Rewari district of Haryana, is survived by his wife Radha Bai. Sepoy Ajay Kumar, from Bastikri in Uttar Pradesh's Meerut, is survived by his wife, Priyanka while Havaldar Sheo Ram, from the Tiba village in Rajasthan's Jhunjhunu, is survived by Sunita Devi.
