Pulwama Attack: Surat-Based Textile Mill Makes Sarees to Pay Tribute to Bravehearts, Profit to Be Given to Families of Martyred CRPF Jawans
According to a tweet by ANI, Annapurna Industries Pvt Ltd, a textile mill located in Surat, has manufactured a batch of sarees, as a mark of respect to the jawans who lost their lives in Pulwama Attack.
Ahmedabad, February 22: Days after the deadly terror strike in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama, which killed 40 CRPF personnel, a textile mill in Gujarat has made a batch of sarees as a tribute to the martyred jawans. According to a tweet by ANI, Annapurna Industries Pvt Ltd, a textile mill located in Surat, has manufactured a batch of sarees, as a mark of respect to the jawans who lost their lives in Pulwama Attack.
The Director of the Mills said, whatever profit is earned will be given to the families of the martyred jawans. "We will donate the entire profit earned, to the families of the martyred jawans", the Director of the Mills added. In another similar incident from Surat, a family cut down their wedding expenses at the grand wedding function and donated Rs 16 lakhs to the families of the martryed jawans. Reports inform that Sheth and Sanghvi families from Surat cancelled grand wedding functions that were arranged for their daughter and son. The families donated a total of Rs 16 lakh of which Rs 5 lakhs was given to various NGOs and Rs 11 lakhs to families of the soldiers.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the sacrifice of the 40 CRPF personnel killed in a terror attack will not go in vain and added saying that, the security forces have been given a free hand to punish the perpetrators of the attack. On February 14, 40 CRPF personnel lost their lives and five others were injured in one of the deadliest terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir. The terror attack took place after a Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) suicide bomber rammed a vehicle carrying over 100 kg of explosives into their bus in Pulwama district.
