PUBG Addiction of Son Irks Mother in Jind, 17-Year-Old Commits Suicide After Mother Breaks Phone

A 17-old-boy in Jind area of Haryana committed suicide after his mother scolded him for playing PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) and reportedly broke his mobile phone.

Chandigarh, July 8: The mobile game addiction is letting children take extreme steps. In the latest incident, a 17-old-boy in Jind area of Haryana committed suicide after his mother scolded him for playing PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) and reportedly broke his mobile phone.

It is to be known that the boy is a dropout and had left studies after completing Class X almost a year ago. After leaving school, he used to spend most of his time would spend most of his time playing PUBG - considered a hugely popular online multiplayer battle royale game. Briefing more, the father of the victim said, "I was on duty on Saturday evening when my wife found him playing PUBG in his room and snatched his mobile phone. She found him hanging in the room the next morning." The victim's father is a policeman and used to scold his son for leaving studies. Police said that no formal complaint has been made so far, however, they are investigating the matter.
