President Ram Nath Kovind who is on a six-day tour to Vietnam and Australia was delighted to hear the soulful performance of 'Sabarmati Ke Sant' by Vietnamese students from the India Studies Centre.

Hanoi, November 19: President Ram Nath Kovind who is on a six-day tour to Vietnam and Australia was delighted to hear the soulful performance of 'Sabarmati Ke Sant' by Vietnamese students from the India Studies Centre, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Hanoi, While the spouses of Embassy staff and Students of University of Vietnam sang “Ye Dosti Hum Nahi Todenge” in presence of Indian president. President Ram Nath Kovind Visits Ancient Hindu Temple Heritage Site in Vietnam.

After the function, President Kovind addressed the Indian community and said that India-Vietnam friendship was a civilization. "The Indian community in Vietnam plays an important part in promoting bilateral ties and creating opportunities for the local economy and society," said President while addressing the people. In its tweet, he said, "Mahatma Gandhi's message of non-violence continues to inspire millions across the world."

After Vietnam, President Kovind will visit Australia on a four-day tour from November 21 during which he will meet with Australian delegates to discuss ways to strengthen the bilateral ties between both the countries. He will arrive at Sydney from Vietnam's Hanoi on November 21 for visiting Sydney and Melbourne on an invitation of Governor-General Peter Cosgrove.
