Pramod Mahajan, BJP Leader, Could Have Been Saved If I Was Allowed to Touch Him, Claims Shiv Sena MP Chandrakant Khaire
The Shiv Sena MP also said that the late Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Pramod Mahajan's life could have been saved if he was allowed to touch the leader.
Aurangabad, February 24: Shiv Sena Lok Sabha MP from Aurangabad, Chandrakant Khaire, on Saturday made a bizarre claim. Khaire said that he can cure people by feeling their pulse, chanting mantras and giving them vibhuti (ash). The Shiv Sena MP also said that the late Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Pramod Mahajan's life could have been saved if he was allowed to touch the leader. Khaire made this claim while speaking at a National Health Mission function in Aurangabad in the presence of Pharma professionals including dean of the local government hospital. Khaire, a B.SC graduate from Marathwada University, added that he had cured many people and Mahajan’s case was his only "failure". Khaire added that he had given some ash to Rahul Mahajan, son of Pramod Mahajan, when the former MP was fighting for his life after being gunshot by his brother from a point-blank range. Khaire added that the tight security around Mahajan's treatment room so that no one could enter and this put paid to his efforts, adding that it was his only "failure".
Narrating another instance, Khaire said, "The wife of a party activist was injured in an accident. I felt her pulse and chanted and she opened her eyes and went on to get fine in a couple of days."
The event was attended by MLA Sanjay Shirsat, Government hospital Dean Dr Kanan Yelikar, Mayor Nandkumar Ghodele, Deputy Director of Health Dr Swapnil Laale, civil surgeon Dr Sunder Kulkarni and District Health Officer Dr Amol Gite.
