Srinagar, April 22: 66 terrorist have been killed in Jammu and Kashmir this year. From 66 terrorists, 27 belonged to Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) out of which 19 of them were eliminated after the Pulwama terror attack. According to ANI sources, within 45 days of Pulwama attack, entire JeM group involved in the attack were neutralised through a combination of technical and human intelligence-based operations. Jammu and Kashmir: Hizbul Mujahideen Terrorist Arrested from Anantnag, Arms And Ammunition Recovered.

This also includes the arrest and deportation of Jaish cadre who were involved in the terror operation, reported ANI. According to reports, after the Pulwama attack, four JeM terrorists involved in Pulwama attack were killed while four others have been arrested in the different operations. The neutralised terrorists include Kamran, Mushashir Ahmed Khan, and Sajjad Bhat. Four Terrorists of Lashkar-e-Taiba Gunned Down.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has taken two terrorists- Nisar Ahmed Tantray and Sajjad- into custody for their role in the terror attack. Tantray had helped suicide bomber Aadil Ahmed Dar by getting a vehicle-based improvised explosive device from a Pakistan based Jaish terrorist, Yasir.

On February 14 2019, a convoy carrying Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel on the Jammu Srinagar National Highway was attacked by a suicide bomber in Pulwama district. The attack resulted in the deaths of 40 CRPF personnel and the suicide bomber. The responsibility of the attack was taken by Pakistan based terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad.
