New Delhi, November 14: Former Karnataka minister Gali Janardhan Reddy was granted bail on a bond of Rs 1 lakh on Wednesday after he was arrested by Bengaluru Central Crime Branch in connection with Ambidant Group alleged bribery case. Earlier, The Central Crime Branch had raided the house of absconding mining baron Gali Janardhana Reddy in Karnataka's Ballari. Ponzi Scheme Case: Gali Janardhana Reddy's Residence Gets Raided.

Reddy's advocate, Chandrashekar, as quoted in the report said, "They want to fix him in a false case, cause his arrest, parade him and injure his reputation". According to an ANI report, Reddy's advocate has filed two petitions in Karnataka High Court seeking withdrawal of the Ambident Group bribery case against Reddy and to change two investigation officers.

Syed Ahmed Fareed, a ponzi scam accused, who had cheated nearly 15,000 people to the sum of Rs 600 crores through his firm Ambidant Marketing, allegedly told police that he had given Reddy gold worth 18 crores after he promised him to help in an inquiry launched by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
